The Park Güell is just another of the geniuses of a man ahead of his time and his artistic tendency.
Mixing the most advanced engineering and decoration techniques loaded with fantasy. With the dragon or the Salamander, he turned into art the overflow of the groundwater cistern, and the mosaic bench curved around the square which is both a seat, a balcony and a wonderful work of art.
The park was catalogued as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. It was supposed to be a residential neighbourhood, which was financed by Eusebi Güell and meticulously planned by Gaudí with intertwined paths and paths, water catchment, market and square, gardens and country houses. Only two houses were sold and finally the Güell family sold it for a symbolic amount to the city as a park and allowed us all to benefit from this beautiful world heritage site.
